Chapter one – Confessions
(This is AU where they all live in the same area. Don't like it? Don't read it. And this is also Male on Male, so if you don't like that, don't read either. KK thanks. C: )
Dirk Strider was completely dumbfounded. He could hardly believe what he was hearing, or reading to be more precise. Or wait, was he dreaming? This was one of his dreams again wasn't it? One of the many parallel realities he'd much rather be currently living in than the somewhat dull and boring reality he lived in now, though this was all beside the current point. Was he REALLY reading this correctly? He couldn't be.
GT: Mister strider... I do believe, though my fear of being harshly rejected had deterred me from telling you this for many a years now, I have feelings for you.
Dirk slid back in his chair from his laptop, leaning his head back and staring at his ceiling. Jake did have feelings for him, but he'd always thought them to be of the... friendly type. Like best bros or something of that sort, but him flat out telling Dirk that he liked him (So he thought, taking it that way.) had driven him over the edge. There was no hiding anymore.
Pull yourself together Strider, you know good and damn well that this is your one and ONLY chance. Take it.
TT: Jake, I honestly think it's time we met up. Roxy Lalonde's party, tomorrow night at seven. If you're lying to me don't bother showing up.
This was it. If Jake didn't show tomorrow Dirk was going to be more than heartbroken...
Sleep didn't find Dirk easily that night. Most of the evening he laid on his back staring at the ceiling with a blank expression. Every once in a while he would flick his orange irises to the clock at his bedside. Each second that past made his stomach tighten and his throat swell. He couldn't take the anxiety that continued to grow. Seven o'clock wasn't going to be in a rush to see Dirk, that was certain.
Around six o'clock Dirk drug himself out of his bed, trudging through all of the random items that laid on his floor, taking extra care not to trip over anything. He made his way to the bathroom, stripping down and stepping into the shower. He let his thoughts wonder while he sat in the warm water, sighing softly and leaning his blonde hair back into the calming flow. Once he was satisfied with his level of cleanliness, he stepped out and wrapped an orange hued towel around his waist, brushing his teeth and waiting for his hair to dry. He dressed in his normal attire consisting of a white shirt with an orange ball cap on it, black skinny fit jeans, and orange converse. He grabbed his pointed anime shades, sliding them onto the bridge of his nose and making his way out of the door to do something distracting until seven o'clock.
---
When seven o'clock came around, Jake made his way to Roxy's, being ushered into the home by an oddly giddy Jane Crocker.
"Oh Dirk! You're never going to believe who showed up!" She chirped happily.
"Who showe--" He stopped, eyes widening behind his shades. His heart began to beat faster, cheeks threatening to turn the darkest shade of red possible.
There, standing in all of his glorious britishness, was Jake English.

Karkat x John
"JOHN FUCKING EGBERT. GET YOUR HUMAN ASS DOWN FROM THERE BEFORE I CLIMB UP THERE MY FUCKING SELF AND BRING YOU DOWN BY FORCE !" The short Alternia native growled, one arm raised and flailing while he continued to try and command his friend to return to the ground.
"pfft. no way, karkat. i'm not even using my powers right now. every human can do this." John grinned down at his friend, beginning to hang from his legs, upside down from the 'spiders web' that was situated in the center of the playground. He allowed his arms to hang down, while his bright blue eyes locked on the gray-skinned Troll below. "i bet you could do it as well. come on u

Truth
"So I guess welcome home." Karkat spoke softly to himself, as the other boy was wandering around the tiny apartment. The place was not very large. One living room with a kitchen built in. a small TV and radio with a couch. It had one bathroom with only a toilet, sink, and shower; Then only one bedroom with a twin bed and a window. A very small apartment, but it kept Karkat living.
Karkat was kicked out by his parents at age ten, when he ended up cursing too much and not getting well enough grades. His parents were strict, so another reason why he was kicked out was exactly that. All he lives on now is macaroni and cheese, but he seems to be
